Who we are: Rosetta travel is privately owned located at 62 Knockbreda Road Belfast, BT6 0JB. Trading since 1985.
We have procedures and security in place to ensure your data remains private and only shared with suppliers where we are required to do so.
Data we must collect to complete your booking:
- Contact information: Telephone number, address and email.
- Passenger names: We require the names and dates of birth for each passenger.
- Passport Details: We may require each person to provide details from their passport in order that we can handle your booking in accordance with the suppliers conditions of travel.
- Special requirements: You may have medical or dietary requirements for your journey.
- Payment details: We keep financial records for accounting purposes. When you pay by debit/credit card, we will not store your card number.
- Some suppliers require us to collect details of your travel insurance and next of kin.
How do we use your data:
- We collect and store your information securely on an approved travel industry management system. By retaining this data, we can process your booking in accordance with the requirements of the operator. This will also expedite any future bookings made with our office.
Who do we share your data with:
- We are required to pass some or all those details to service providers, accountants or the legal profession as part of the lawful booking process.
Contact:
- We may have to contact you via email/telephone/post to properly service your booking. We may also contact you during or after your booking if we feel we have something that falls into the category of ‘legitimate interest’.
- Marketing: We will automatically assume you wish to opt out of marketing via email telephone or post. You can request to opt in or out at any time.
Website/Facebook
- When you visit our website, we do not collect any personal data that identifies individuals. Statistical data is made available to us from our web hosting supplier to optimise our online presence.
- When you hit “like” on our facebook status, we may invite you to “like” our facebook page. You can like/unlike at anytime.
How long will we retain your personal data.
- We only will retain your data for as long as we are required for accounting purposes. If you have not made another booking within that timeframe, we will have no reason to retain your personal data and will be deleted from our system.
Right to Access
- Should you wish to receive a copy of your personal data we hold, you may do so in writing accompanied by two forms of identification. (eg passport and driving licence). Within 30 days, we will be able to provide all your data (excluding any parts of your data that could disclose another person’s data). We can correct or erase your data for legitimate reasons.
